Professional Roof Cleaning – Pressure Wash

Not every roof should be cleaned in exactly the same way. The roof material, age, condition and existing coating all need to be considered before deciding on the appropriate cleaning method and pressure.

Our experience with iron and concrete tile roofs allows us to assess the existing surface and use the appropriate equipment and techniques for the job.

Professional roof cleaning can remove:

• Built-up dirt and grime
• Organic matter and surface contamination
• Loose and flaking coatings
• Residue from moss and lichen growth
• Contaminants that need to be removed before recoating

For ongoing organic growth, we also provide dedicated moss and lichen roof treatments as part of our roof maintenance services.

Preparing Your Roof for Painting & Restoration

Thorough preparation is one of the most important stages of a professional roof painting and restoration system.

Before applying our premium Shieldcoat coating systems, the roof needs to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared so that repairs can be completed and the subsequent primers, base coats and membrane coatings can properly adhere to the prepared surface.

This is why professional waterblasting forms an important part of our restoration process. A premium finish starts with proper preparation.

Roof Cleaning as Preventative Maintenance

You don’t need to be repainting your roof to benefit from professional roof cleaning.

Over time, Auckland roofs can accumulate dirt, debris and organic growth. Periodic cleaning and maintenance can help keep the roof in good condition, improve its appearance and provide an opportunity to identify areas that may require attention.

If we identify rust, deteriorating fastenings, damaged tiles, degraded ridge pointing or other maintenance issues while assessing your roof, we can advise you on the appropriate repair or maintenance options.

Commercial Roof Cleaning & Waterblasting

We also provide commercial roof cleaning and waterblasting for suitable commercial properties.

Whether cleaning is required as routine roof maintenance or as preparation for a commercial roof painting and restoration project, we’ll assess the roof and determine the appropriate cleaning and preparation process.

Protect. Enhance. Preserve.

At Xpert Roof Coatings, roof cleaning isn’t simply about making a roof look better. It’s part of our wider approach to maintaining, restoring and extending the serviceable life of existing roofs.
